Scottish FA Cup Final - Active Nations

We returned to Hampden Park again to provide a two pyrotechnic elements for the Cup Final between Dundee United v Ross County.

As the teams entered the pitch before kickoff we provided a stunning pyrotechnic sequence fired from 7 positions, on the far side of the centre circle. Using zero debris material including mines, comets, whistles and bangs the pyrotechnics created a great atmosphere in the stadium.

For the post match celebrations we provided showers of confetti in the winning colours from behind the podium, creating the ideal photo for the next day’s papers. See the confetti photo here !

Pyro 1 at The 6 Nations Rugby

Pyro 1 have provided Propane Flames for the Scottish home 6 Nations matches for the past few years and this year was no expection.

As the Scottish team enter the stadium at Murrayfield our 8m high Propane Flames lept into action. The music builds, the team appears and the Flames roar as do the crowd.

The four Flames are setup, two either side of the tunnel entrance, to create a guard of honor for the Scottish Team. They are a very visual effect and realy get the crowd going.

Pyro1 in China

Martin and Neil went to China in February where they saw the best that the world capital of fireworks - Liu Yang has to offer. Over 350 new products were displayed night after night. They have now made their choices and we look forward to showing you some of our new effects. Our new 5 colour pastel dahlia with crackling bees, our stunning silver & red butterfly shells and the fabulous red & silver ring or “jellyfish “shells.

The great thing about this years shows is that they will be using the latest effects, coupled with our expert choreography and design to improve and enhance the intensity of the displays. This really will make your audience ooh and aah even more!

Pyro 1 Firework Storage - Benefits for All

Pyro 1's Licensed Firework Storage is a year old. We have been operating our own HSE Licensed Storage for the last year and it has saved us in more ways than one.

We have a number of licensed shipping containers within 10 minutes of our offices, which allow us to prepare displays at the drop of a hat. Our old storage used to be at Upper Heyford near Bicester which was a 3 hour round trip, each time we had to prepare a display. Therefore we are now able to save man hours, fuel and the length of time it takes to prepare each display.

One Saturday in March we received a last minute call to provide a Display that evening for Jonathan Ross at his home in North London. Within 3 hours of taking the call we had designed and prepared the display and were on site 4 hours later. The display was a great success especially as it was a complete surprise for all the guests at the party.

This means even more firework content in each display for our customers and amazing value for money.

World Netball Series Manchester 2009

Pyro1 were called in to help turn up the heat for this years World Netball Series at the MEN Arena in Manchester. With four propane flames leaping in to the air for each team entrance we also showered the winning team with orange, white and black confetti.

Crystal Palace

A 3 minute high intensity Pyrotechnic display choreographed to music provided a sensational close to the Athletics Meeting early in August.

With 10 minutes to install the pyrotechnics onto the infield, we pre-prepared all the effects at our base and transported them to Crystal Palace.

On the cue we simultaneously fired the 2 minute sequence to the music, involving chases around a large circle on the infield as well as rapid firing shots from one end to the other. With the crowd watching from 360 degrees the design was crucial.
